I can even send e-mail on the internet
Pretty cool video about the internet. It is kind of hard to believe how far we have come since then. Most of these clips are from the early 1990′s. Website design and development has come a long way since the early days. Website design is still changing a lot with the near introduction of HTML 5, web development is about to get really exciting again.
For further reading on HTML5 and how it is changing website design and development check out the links below.
Some really great magazine and publication graphic design by Xavier Encinas Studio. A graphic design studio specialising in print production and editorial design. Pretty cool looking graphic poster design by Daniel Zender, a graphic designer and illustrator from Delaware. On working with friends he says “Because of the intimacy involved, there’s usually a little bit of fancy footwork required; and some of the time, it can turn into a rather arduous commitment. On the other hand, when the collaboration clicks and you’re working with the right kind of people, some really magical things can happen. Case in point: gold paper.”
And this is really a project that clicked, the gold paper looks fantastic! He said the client was really supportive of his design work and tried to push what he can do both graphically and through his illustration. Wanting to stand out from the other bland posters he printed his design for the Twin Killers poster on Gold paper to make it POP.

Kirby Ferguson produced this short film entitled Everything is a Remix. There are some really interesting facts throughout, the connection between Led Zeppelin and William Burroughs being just one.
Is graphic design a remix? There is certainly a lot of ideas and different styles which recur again and again. The graphic design style of the Russian Constructivist was one such movement which seems to resurface every few years. I previously did a lot of research into this re-emergince of Constructivist graphics which you can read here: http://www.stripeyhorsecreative.co.uk
