We love this novel idea for giving your valentine a gift with a real difference. A shop window converted into a ‘Cabinet of Dreams’. Behind its gothic, Victoriana charm this shop front supports a very good cause. As the face of the newest Women’s Aid campaign it carries a message as sharp as Sweeney Todd’s blade – that ‘abusive relationships do not begin with violence, but often with gifts and flowers’. By investing in one of these items, you’re supporting a Women’s Aid campaign to raise money for victims of abusive relationships.

We really like these subversive road signs and branding projects coming from TrustoCorp. Great graphic style and really creative outcomes. Although not much is known about TrustoCorp, we do know he/she/they are based in New York. They are “dedicated to highlighting the hyporcrisy and hilarity of human behaviour through sarcasm and satire.” TrustoCorp also place their rebranded goods in to stores under the noses of their unsuspecting proprietors.

Really great article about the Creative process and the generation and execution of ideas. There are interviews and videos from the fore-runners in creative fields. Such people as, Daniel Pink who talks about The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us, Steve Jobs: Live Each Day As If It Were Your Last and Michael Wolff, one of the foremost brand designers in the world Don’t Overvalue Your Experience.

Very interesting clip featuring Michael Wolff discussing the topic Is This A Good Time For Creativity? He believes it is always a good time for creativity, and inspiration is a difficult thing to describe.
Starting in the 1970’s with the creative rise of Wolff Olins, his career in design has included the creation of some of the most iconic and well known brands of the late 20th century. Wolff Olins are a leading brand agency who have worked with such clients as Sony and the London Olympics 2012. They help clients capture their brand idea, devise the best brand architecture, and manage their brand for maximum impact.
In the Nineties he started working as an independent consultant creative director where he worked on creating the Labour Party rose, as well as developing the strategic creation of the Citi identity for Citigroup.

The Creators Project is a new network dedicated to the celebration of creativity and culture across media, and around the world. At a time in the history of the arts where digital technologies have revolutionized distribution, democratized access, and completely re-imagined the scope and scale with which an artist can create a vision and reach an audience, The Creators Project is a completely new kind of arts and culture channel for a completely new kind of world.
The Creators Project has two mandates: on one hand it’s a modern day media channel that we will continually identify and celebrate the work of visionary artists wherever they are. On the other hand it is also a content creation studio, an arts foundation of sorts that will facilitate the production and dissemination of new work with these artists and their collaborators.
Very interesting website, with great, creative projects. Check out the website in more detail here: http://www.thecreatorsproject.com/en-uk/
J.R is the 2011 winner of the TED prize.
Having seen and posted about his work before I can see why J.R is the 2011 TED prize winner. He is an anonymous photographer and artist from Paris, and much like Banksy his work is filled with meaning. His work features the faces and life of local people in small villages and neighbourhoods across the world. He then posts these photographs very large scale around these villages, on their buildings and transport systems.
Being a Guerrilla artist he remains under the radar of the authorities. A lot of his art and designs are posted in places where the local people do not have access to art galleries. Bringing creativity and art to their neighbourhood. I would love to see some of his work closer to home, in and around Birmingham!
