Design Studio.

Were moving into our new studio at Zellig in Birmingham pretty soon. So we have started the hunt for studio furniture and things that will make us feel at home. The Aphrodite USB Hub is something we would love to get our hands on. Along with the cool Stags Head we mentioned here before.

Found via the Swiss Miss website.

You can buy the Aphrodite USB Hub here: http://www.fredflare.com

Dropmocks. Graphic design resource.

DropMocks couldn’t be easier. There is no signing in, the user simply drops there photos or mock ups of graphics and logos onto the nearly blank page in their browser. The images and graphics upload and form into a minimalist, left-to-right gallery. The viewer can navigate with their arrow keys or the file list in the upper-right corner. Really quick and simple way of sharing images and graphics with clients. Every graphic design agency will find this a useful resource.

GVA Studio.

Really love the graphic design being produced by GVA Studio. GVA Studio are a graphic design agency based in Switzerland, established in 2004, they are a creative agency that work on a broad range of private and institutional clients. ’We at GVA Studio take pleasure letting the most basic things that surround us capture our imagination. With no preconceived restrictions and with a confidence that uncovering what is hidden beneath will bring us a certain pleasure. Our team makes up for its small size by opening its doors to others. Our pleasure to create. Your pleasure to enjoy.’

The above posters are taken from their personal work entitled ‘Music Cover Inspired’. They are graphic designers who put a lot of time and effort into their personal work and personal design projects. Personal projects really do help develop a design agency and free up their creativity. And its definitely something we want to start developing for ourselves too.

Antenna Design. Graphic design agency.

Antenna Design: Why Two Minds Think Faster Than One from 99% on Vimeo.

Very interesting talk by Antenna Design for the 99% by Behance website. Husband-and-wife team Masamichi Udagawa and Sigi Moeslinger have thrived as creative partners, designing everything from New York subway cars to a Knoll furniture line. Scott Belsky (Behance) and Josh Rubin (Cool Hunting) chat with the duo about what makes for a great partner and the advantages of teaming up – for instance: faster thinking, productive friction, and more creative firepower.

As our graphic design agency operates as a partnership I can totally see where Sigi and Masamichi are coming from. One of the best things about operating as a partnership as opposed to a sole trader in graphic design is the simple fact of having someone there to bounce designs and graphics off. Getting their ideas and input, and things you may never have thought about into the mix is a valuable resource. For a good Graphic Design Agency to work it has to have a good mix of people who have different skills, and operate on different levels.
