Wim Crouwel — A Graphic Odyssey

The London Design Museum has announced a major retrospective of work by Wim Crouwel. This is one I am definitely looking forward to. The retrospective is titled Wim Crowel — A Graphic Odyssey, it will be curated by Tony Brook of Spin (a graphic design agency located in London).

This should be a great show, the Design Museum says “Original sketches, posters, catalogues and archive photography will be on display alongside films and audio commentary”. The exhibition will also explore his legacy and long lasting influence on contemporary graphic design with commentary from Peter Saville and Stefan Sagmeister.

I attended Candy‘s SweetTalk 24 event in Dublin where Crouwel gave a presentation of his work. This was followed by a screening of Helvetica The Movie, and a quick Q&A. It was such a good night, it would be great to attend this exhibition.

Wim Crouwel – A Graphic Odyssey will run from March 30 to July 3 2011
